If you are an employee or a self-employed worker and you take maternity leave, paternity leave, adoption leave or parental leave, you may be entitled to benefits under Québec's parental insurance plan (QPIP).
The Québec Parental Insurance Plan replaces the maternity benefits, parental benefits, and adoption benefits previously available to new Québec parents under the federal employment insurance plan.
Note
As the QPIP is an income replacement plan, you must have received work income to be eligible.
