In a moving road vehicle, children whose sitting height is less than 63 cm (measured from the seat to the top of the head) must be securely held in a car seat for children.
As it is mandatory to use a suitable car seat for children, you must read the manufacturer's instructions for the height and weight a given seat can safely accommodate.
