If you are pregnant and believe that your working conditions are dangerous to your health and that of your unborn baby, or if you are breast-feeding and suspect that your work may endanger your child’s health, consult your physician.
The Pour une maternité sans danger preventive withdrawal program allows you to apply for re-assignment and, in certain cases, preventive withdrawal.
Ask your physician to fill out a Preventive withdrawal and re-assignment certificate for a pregnant or breast-feeding worker form, which he or she will have, but which is also available at CSST offices.
Note
Even if you were granted re-assignment or preventive withdrawal during your pregnancy, you must obtain a new certificate for breast-feeding. However, in that case, only conditions that may harm your breast-fed child’s health can be taken into consideration.
