Dismissal of a pregnant employee (prohibited practice)

Responsibility : Commission des normes du travail

Your employer is prohibited from taking certain actions, including the following, on the ground that you are pregnant:

  • Dismissing, suspending or transferring you;

  • Practicing discrimination, taking reprisals or imposing any other penalty on you.


If you are subjected to any of these practices, you may file a complaint with the Commission des normes du travail.
