If you are the father or mother of a newborn child, or if you have adopted a child (including a child of your spouse), you are entitled to parental leave of not more than 52 consecutive weeks without pay.
Parental leave may be taken in addition to maternity leave or, if you are the father, in addition to your paternity leave of five consecutive weeks.
